And so begins another chapter in the adventures of the Frog. Looking back, it has been some time since we last created a travel blog. I believe the last one was November of 2013, when we visited the fabulous city of Barcelona. http://thefroginthewellbarcelona.blogspot.ca
This year, we are taking a rather unusual approach. As of this moment, we are sitting in the Air Canada lounge in Montreal, awaiting our overnight flight to Brussels, Belgium. Once we arrive, we will spend the first three nights in Brussels, then on Sunday morning, we will pick up a rental car, and head, well, we don't really know where yet. All we know for sure, is that we have to return our car to the Paris airport on Thursday April 2nd, and fly home from Paris on Sunday April 5th! With the kids sprouting into young adults, the idea of being a little more flexible with our schedule, is much easier to stomach.
High on our list are visits to the numerous WWI and WWII battlefields in Belgium and Northern France. The entire family has a keen interest in visiting the memorials, so we are armed with a self guided tour book, and we are ready to make the trek across some very, very historic land, to pay tribute to the countless men and women that gave their lives for our freedom.
